Dear God, we thank you for the life and service of Pope Benedict XVI. Grant him eternal rest and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his witness to faith, truth, and hope continue to guide your Church.
Heavenly Father, we also entrust to you all who are ill in body, mind, or spirit. Touch them with your healing hand, surround them with love, and give courage to those who care for them: doctors, nurses, families, and caregivers.
Bring comfort, hope, and peace to all who suffer. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
