Saint Augustine, father and teacher, you knew the ways of God and also the wrong paths people sometimes follow that separate us from him. We marvel at how divine grace made you a privileged witness to truth and goodness in service of our brothers and sisters.
We humbly ask you, blessed servant of God, to pray for us poor sinners each day. Through your intercession, may we be delivered from the evils that threaten us and grow daily in virtue.
Through your intercession, may we come to know our Lord, know ourselves better, and love him above all things. Allow us to share in your love so that our hearts may shine. Amen.
