A Night Prayer for Peaceful Sleep
Bless us with rest tonight, Jesus, and grant us a peaceful night's sleep. Forgive me for the wrong things I did today and for the ways I failed to honor you. Thank you for loving me so much and knowing me so well.
I need your help every day of my life. Thank you for the strength you give me and for teaching me that, with you, even difficult things are possible. Bless my family and my home, and keep us safe throughout the night. May your angels protect and watch over us as you have promised.
Continue the Night Prayer
You have told us that we are like sheep and that you guide and protect us like a shepherd. You know our names and make us feel loved. When we are hurt, you comfort us. Thank you, Jesus, for caring for us and for giving us parents, guardians, and pastors to help us.
Thank you for the Bible and for the lessons in life that help us grow. Bless the people of our world and help them know that you love them too. Thank you for all those who help us: teachers, doctors, police officers, firefighters, and so many others.
Thank you for your good plan for our lives. Help us obey you and love you more each day. When we wake in the morning, place a smile on our faces and your purpose in our hearts, ready to begin a new day. We love you, Jesus. Good night. Amen.
A Prayer for Better Rest
Dear Lord,
please help me trust in you. Through your Spirit, give me the strength not to be ruled by my emotions.
I want to stop worrying about what might happen and focus instead on all you have already done, remembering and praising your faithfulness throughout my life.
