Come, Holy Spirit,
send forth your light from heaven.

Come, sweet guest of the soul,
rest in our weariness,
relief in our labor,
gentle breeze in hours of heat,
joy that dries our tears
and brings comfort in sorrow.
Enter the depths of our souls,
divine light, and enrich us.
See how empty we are
when you are absent within us;
see the power of sin
when you do not send your breath.
Water what is dry,
heal the wounded heart,
wash away every stain,
warm what has grown cold,
bend the stubborn spirit,
and guide those who have lost the way.
Give your seven gifts
according to the faith of your servants.
Through your goodness and grace,
give merit to our efforts,
save those who seek salvation,
