Prayer to Our Lady of Charity of El Cobre
You are the Mother of all Cubans.
To you we come, Holy Mother of God, to honor you with the love of your children.
In your motherly heart we place our longings and hopes, our efforts and our prayers:
For our wounded homeland, that together we may build peace and harmony.
For families, that they may live in faithfulness and love.
For children, that they may grow in health of body and spirit.
For young people, that they may strengthen their faith and grow in responsibility and purpose.
For the sick and marginalized, for those who suffer alone, for those far from their homeland, and for all who suffer in their hearts.
For the Church in Cuba and its evangelizing mission; for priests, deacons, religious, and lay faithful.
For the victory of justice and love among our people.
Mother of Charity, beneath your protection we take refuge. Blessed are you among women, and blessed is Jesus, the fruit of your womb.
To him be glory and power forever and ever.
