Blessed Be Your Purity Prayer

Blessed Be Your Purity Prayer

Blessed be your purity is a prayer asking the Virgin Mary to help us keep our thoughts, words, and actions pure.

Blessed be your purity,
and blessed may it be forever,
for no less than God takes delight
in such exalted beauty.
To you, heavenly Princess, Holy Virgin Mary,
I offer on this day
my soul, my life, and my heart.
Look upon me with compassion;
do not leave me, my Mother.

Hell rightly trembles on this day
when Mary's most pure conception is praised.
Its rage and indignation appear with fury,
but proclaim with confidence in this hour:
"Blessed are you, great Lady;
blessed be your purity."

Blessed Be Your Purity, Mother of Jesus Christ

From the blessed moment when you were conceived,
you became the Lady of all mortals,
a star adorning the heavens
and a moon never stained by sin.
For this God is praised,
and blessed may your purity be forever.

Your singular beauty delights the angels,
and without ceasing they call you holy, holy, holy.
If heaven sings your glory,
my heart also longs to praise you tenderly.
How great is your beauty,
for God himself delights in you.

No creature more beautiful can be found
than the powerful Queen, Mother of the Almighty.
In you alone we see a nature so full of grace
that God, your Creator and author, rejoices
in such gracious beauty.

To whom can I offer my affection,
my devotion, and my love?
From whom can I seek protection
in what matters most to me?
My lips confess the longing of my heart:
to you, Virgin of heaven,
to you, heavenly Princess.

I call you my hope in every affliction
and a source of confidence for faithful hearts.
Through you we are led toward glory,
for you are my Mother.
Hail, loving Mother, holy Virgin Mary.

I once placed my happiness blindly
in the deceptive pleasures of this passing life.
The cunning enemy offered them to me,
and in my weakness I accepted them.
Therefore, Mother, from this day forward
I offer you my love.
