The child Mary,
how graceful is her flight,
a dove from heaven,
went up to the Temple
and offered to God
the purest gift:
a sanctuary and dwelling,
consecrated by him
and reserved for him
within her heart.
O white lily,
Wisdom made you its throne,
a golden paten,
full of grace
and full of beauty.
May your light, pure Virgin,
immaculate child,
break like dawn
through our dark night.
Your Presentation,
Princess Mary,
fills the heart
with peace and joy.
Belonging wholly to God
and a home filled by him,
you are the dwelling place

The Presentation of Mary
This poetic prayer is inspired by the Presentation of the Virgin Mary, a liturgical memorial observed on November 21. The episode comes from ancient Christian tradition and is not narrated in the canonical Gospels. Its spiritual meaning contemplates Mary's complete dedication to God from her youth.
